JANETT LIRIANO (MARTINEZ)

Chief Executive Officer

Janett is a maker and a project manager with a passion for user experience. Her role is to optimize and scale LOOMIA's suite of patented core technologies for large scale manufacturing. Day to day, she is responsible for identifying and securing key supply chain partners and collecting customer requirements around interface, customer experience, manufacturing, and logistics.

Janett believes that integrity in business relationships can be combined with precisely-engineered materials science to reinvent the apparel supply-chain and enable smarter garments. As a master electrician and team leader, Janett has specified and installed interactive medical and audio systems, and formerly served as stage manager, director, and lighting designer on at New York's Lincoln Center and Boston's Cutler Majestic Theater.

Daughter of an electrical engineer and a creative, Janett brings deep understanding of design and technology to execute magical customer experiences. She studied two years of Design and Technology at Emerson College and Audio Engineering at SAE Institute, with a special focus on electronics and analog processes.  She resides in New York, NY.

Madison Maxey is founder and technical lead at LOOMIA, where she designs technology and processes for seamless integration of e-textiles into everyday objects.

  • Residencies and creative work at Autodesk, Pratt's BF+DA, The School of Visual Arts, Google Creative Labs

  • Has built and designed CNC machines, nitinol / high current circuits and a large, textile-based cap touch matrix

  • Advanced 3D modeling and 3D printing skills, 3D modeling / CAD, JavaScript, Arduino and physical computing.

  • Soft circuits work used by the Man vehicle lab at MIT

  • Ghost author on a 3D printing textbook highlighting AI algorithms for generative design

  •  Holds two pending patents for e-textile integration


 

EZGI UCAR

Director of Product Development  

Ezgi Ucar is the Director of Product Development at LOOMIA where she oversees the refinement of innovative ideas into scalable manufacturing processes. 

Before joining LOOMIA, she worked as an independent design and technology consultant where she advised on smart textile and physical computing projects for companies, entrepreneurs and creative individuals. Her clients include Human Condition Global, Project Runway Jr. (Playroom Productions), Sensors and Stitches, Starfish Greathearts Foundation, Kristin McArdle Dance, Yuchen Zhang Design and L’Artiste Ordinaire.  Previously, she served as a Creative Technology Intern in the MediaLab at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where she created a multi-sensory museum project that focused on improving user experiences and accessibility. Ezgi earned her MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design, where she also worked as a Research Assistant, following her BS degree in Industrial Engineering at Middle East Technical University in Turkey. During her undergraduate studies she worked on several intern projects for companies including Colgate Palmolive Inc., Organic Kimya and Begendik . 


 

MARCO PAÚL

Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain

Marco Paúl leads operations and supply chain at LOOMIA.

  • Over 15 years work experience in different leadership roles in the areas of operations, supply chain, logistics, product development, process improvement, technical sales, project management and branding.

  • Companies he has worked for include: Avery Dennison Retail and Information Solutions, Kornit Digital and Honeywell Automotive, among others.

  • Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Marco moved to the US in 2003. He spent 9 years working in North Carolina before moving to New York City in 2013.

  • He is fully bilingual in English/Spanish.

  • He is an avid fitness enthusiast and certified fitness trainer

SOLOMON LEDERER PHD

 

Blockchain Lead

 

Dr. Lederer has over 15 years of technical experience in computer system design and programming. He has been teaching programmers and executives for 2 years about blockchain technology through Blockmatics, an education company he founded. Prior to working on blockchain technology, he was a software architect at at The Wall Street Journal and managed the transition from legacy publishing infrastructure to the Amazon cloud, migrating hundreds of apps to the AWS platform, redesigning the publishing flow and replacing many services to use AWS alternatives from databases to load balancers to queuing and messaging systems.

Prior to WSJ, Lederer was a software engineer at Morgan Stanley rebuilding their global margin requirement calculation system for increased accuracy and speed. The system provides cross-asset portfolio-based margin calculations and risk measures in real time. It also incorporates U.S. regulatory rules and assesses margin requirements. 

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Dr. Lederer worked on distributed networks both at BAE Systems, a defense contractor, and as a PhD candidate. At BAE Systems he held a DoD TS (top secret) clearance to develop a novel mobile ad-hoc network for the US Air Force. As a PhD student he developed original algorithms for solving the localization problem for ad-hoc sensor networks, that is determine the location of thousands of randomly placed nodes without GPS, combining disciplines of algorithms, sensor networks, and computational geometry.

Paul Raffin, is an internationally known C-Suite executive, with over forty years of experience managing consumer goods businesses across a wide spectrum of the Fashion Industry spanning department store retail, wholesale, direct to consumer, vertical specialty retail, luxury, and trading company, men’s, women’s, kids apparel, accessories and footwear. Paul has held CEO, President or Division President roles at The Frye Company, Li & Fung USA-
Mens, Kids and Entertainment Licensing Group, Frette, DZ Trading, Express, J. Crew and Gant.
He is known first and foremost as a highly experienced Merchant, having worked with industry luminaries from the late Marvin Traub to Les Wexner and Michael Weiss to William and Victor Fung. These opportunities have provided him with invaluable experience in selecting products which resonate with customers and successfully running a variety of business models at different levels of scale. Raffin has led $1Billion+ revenue businesses as well as more entrepreneurial ventures.
